The National Water Company (NWC) has announced the successful completion of two major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia’s Qassim Region, with a total investment exceeding $13 million (SAR 48 million).
The projects form part of NWC’s ongoing efforts to enhance water distribution efficiency and wastewater services, while supporting sustainable development and improving quality of life for residents in the region. The completed works are expected to strengthen network reliability, reduce service interruptions, and increase operational efficiency.
The projects involved the installation of more than 65 kilometers of water networks and pipelines in Buraidah, covering the Al-Yarmouk, Al-Rawabi, Al-Ghadir, and Al-Rawaq districts.
In addition, over 40 kilometers of sewage networks were constructed in Al-Rass Governorate, serving the Al-Shannana and Al-Sina’iya districts. Together, these infrastructure upgrades are expected to benefit more than 20,000 residents across the Qassim Region by improving service reliability, public health standards, and overall living conditions.
According to NWC, the initiatives align with national strategies aimed at upgrading utility infrastructure and expanding coverage to meet growing demand. The projects also contribute to environmental protection by improving wastewater collection and treatment standards.
NWC reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Kingdom, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 objectives related to sustainability, resource optimization, and improved public services.
