Red Sea Global (RSG) has completed the modernization of AlWajh International Airport (EJH) in northwest Saudi Arabia, enhancing the facility's capacity and strengthening connectivity across the Tabuk region.
The upgraded airport has resumed operations, with Saudia currently operating three weekly flights from Riyadh and two weekly flights from Jeddah. International services are expected to begin shortly.
The project is the first infrastructure development delivered by RSG beyond its tourism destinations, reflecting the company's expanding role in supporting regional development and economic growth.
The renovated airport can accommodate most commercial aircraft, including Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 family aircraft, as well as seaplanes. Passenger handling capacity has increased from 100,000 to 500,000 annually, while the terminal can process up to 330 passengers per hour through four gates.
The enhanced facility is expected to boost tourism, business activity, and employment opportunities throughout the Tabuk region. It will also serve as a key gateway to AMAALA, the luxury wellness destination located approximately 45 minutes away by electric vehicle and 20 minutes by seaplane.
Designed to reflect the architectural heritage of AlWajh and the Tabuk coastline, the airport features upgraded passenger amenities, including premium lounges, retail and food outlets, banking services, car rental facilities, and parking areas. The terminal is also equipped to support seaplane and helicopter operations as part of the integrated transportation network serving AMAALA.
